In support of one employees involvement with her local National Down’s Syndrome Society’s annual Buddy Walk, Stanton Optical donated gift cards for the society’s silent auction fundraiser. The gift cards were redeemable for the purchase of prescription eyewear at any Stanton Optical retail store.
Eyeglass & Contact Lens Donations
Stanton Optical made a generous product donation to MADRE through a contribution of contact lenses to the organizations Helping Hands campaign. Helping Hands Coordinator Nancy Sadek sent Stanton Optical a thank you note that read “we want to thank you for your generous contribution to MADRE’s Helping Hands Campaign. We were thrilled to receive your generous donation of various contact lenses. Your gesture of solidarity inspires and strengthens people struggling for a better world.”
Stanton Optical recently donated 917 pairs of used eyeglasses to the charitable group New Eyes for the Needy. Volunteers clean and sort through the eyeglasses before distributing them to charitable organizations and medical missions throughout the world. The glasses are given out to poor people in developing nations who don’t have the monetary means to buy prescription eyeglasses.
Sean Maldonado, General Manager of Stanton’s Bakersfield, California store, is forming a company mud volleyball team. The team is participating in a tournament which supports the Epilepsy Society of Kern County, California. Company founder, Daniel Stanton, was more than happy to sponsor the Stanton Optical volleyball team in support of a wonderful cause.
Stanton Optical is supporting one employees efforts training and participating in the Dopey Challenge during the 2014 Disney Marathon weekend in Orlando, Florida. Stanton made a generous corporate donation, in the employee’s name, to Team in Training in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their monetary sponsorship makes Stanton a Silver Medal sponsor of their local Team in Training chapter in Palm Beach county, Florida.
Stanton also encourages their employees to offer their time, skills or money to their favorite charitable groups. Their Doctors of Optometry, store managers, sales staff and corporate employees volunteer their time with a variety of national and local charities.
