Stanton Optical Donates Contact Lenses to MADRE
Stanton Optical recently made a generous product donation to MADRE who demands rights, resources and results for women worldwide. The organization’s motto is “we advance women’s human rights by meeting urgent needs in communities and building lasting solutions to crisis.”
The retail eyeglass store made a contribution of contact lenses to the organizations Helping Hands campaign. MADRE is looking for specific donations for each of their campaigns including medical supplies, school supplies, first-aid supplies, non-prescription medication along with eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Helping Hands Coordinator Nancy Sadek sent Stanton Optical a thank you note that read “we want to thank you for your generous contribution to MADRE’s Helping Hands Campaign. We were thrilled to receive your generous donation of various contact lenses. Your gesture of solidarity inspires and strengthens people struggling for a better world.”
Helping Hands Campaigns
There are many ways businesses can make a contribution to help MADRE. The non-profit charity has many fundraising and supply donation opportunities through their different Helping Hands campaigns.
- Back to Safety, Back to School
- Blow the Whistle on Violence Against Women
- Harvesting Hope
- The Safe Birth Project
MADRE organizes projects in many countries including Afghanistan, Bolivia, Columbia, Cuba, Peru, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya and Nicaragua. Current projects include Farming for the Future in Guatemala, Women Farmers Unite in Sudan and The Safe Birth Project in Palestine. The charity works with existing local women’s organizations in each country where they have an active project such as the Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq.
Stanton Optical contributes to the fundraising efforts of schools, churches and non-profit charity organizations such as the National Down’s Syndrome Society, Bright Horizons Foundation for Children and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Stanton Optical also encourages our employees to volunteer their time with various charity organizations. Donating time to work weekends in a groups corporate office, helping out at yearly fundraising events or participating in charity athletic events are just a few ways our employees give back to their local community.
