Get Ready for your Eye Exam!

During your appointment, you will receive a complete eye exam that goes beyond keeping your prescription up to date. It also includes evaluating your overall vision health to help detect early signs of serious eye conditions.

Make sure to bring:

  • Your current eyewear
  • Your current prescription

Here’s what to expect:

Eye exams are provided by Physicians Eyecare Group, a national network of affiliated independent eye doctors and clinical staff that provide on-site and remote clinical services within Stanton Optical. Physicians Eyecare Group will oversee every aspect of your eye examination and eye health check up, which goes well beyond your prescription.

Diagnostic Testing – Our trained technician will administer a series of clinical measurements to provide the doctor a more comprehensive assessment of your eye, allowing screening for serious eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. With these test results, the doctor will evaluate your entire visual system from the corneal surface at the front to the retinal tissue and optic nerve tissue in the back of your eye.

Acuities and Refraction exam – Reading vision assessment is performed in all patients that are symptomatic by looking at accommodation and near point reading requirements, and near point, reading add requirements. You may be offered a state-of-the-art telehealth exam to assess your prescription.
